Character…but far from traditional

Inspirational Visit – followed by full design and project management

Gabriele’s journey with me started with a simple search on Houzz, where he came across a bathroom design I had previously completed. Contacting me to help him with the redesign of his new 1-bedroom apartment.

I met Gabriele before he even owned the property! Still in the process of purchasing the apartment but wanting the designs to be decided and have everything ready for work to start as soon as he got the keys.

Gabriele knew what he wanted but didn’t have a clue to execute it. Talking about his passions, hobbies and interests – I got the full brief! He wanted to incorporate his love for astronomy and science into the design and requested for pink and green colours to be included.

The apartment, in its current state, definitely lacked personality. Gabriele’s bubbly character needed to come through. I was surprised, at the concept presentation, Gabriele was overwhelmed with emotion and appreciated how well I captured his interests within the design.

One long room housed the lounge, kitchen, and diner. Gabriele was a little hesitant about zoning and defining the spaces. I suggested creating a divide for the kitchen area, adding a half-height wall not only achieved this but also provided valuable additional workspace.
