About Ann

It started when I was little girl – wallpapering my dolls house! I have always loved designing my own houses and helping friends – when my children were old enough I decided it was time to do what I love full time.

I love a contemporary look but also have a keen heart for traditional styles, I love exploring and working with most styles. In my own home I am a bit of a minimalist, I’m not good with clutter!

I always take the approach that each project is as individual as the client. I want to create something unique and special to them. I listen carefully to their needs and ensure that their scheme reflects their personality and tastes. I feel it’s really important to set my own style preferences aside and design a scheme that’s right for them.

I am continually inspired by good design, whether it’s floral display in a shop, a poster advertisement or natural beauty. Anything that ignites an emotional response excites me. I am always photographing anything I find interesting and taking notes. It may be beautiful architecture, a stunning garden or the beach after a spring tide. I love helping my clients create amazing spaces that work for them and they enjoy.

Currently we have projects in and around Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. I am always happy to discuss projects further afield.

That’s a tough question because I cherish every project I’ve completed. However, Korat Thai holds a special place in my heart; it was my first commercial project and the day it was finished was incredibly emotional for me as it surpassed my expectations. When it comes to residential projects, I truly love each one because they all reflect the unique needs of every client.

Why an interior Designer?

Ann is trained to look at a room and listen to you to create a design that suits your lifestyle without making costly mistakes.

Quite simply yes… Ann will design layouts using what you have or introducing new furniture, floor coverings, curtains, wallpapers, lighting and paints to design a stunning comfortable room that works for you.

Absolutely! We cover the UK and offer our design services globally, with the exception of project management. However, we can provide remote guidance on project management aspects. For areas beyond our local reach, we offer a digital service and are open to discussing travel expenses if you prefer an in-person visit.

That’s where Ann steps in; she will develop concepts that seamlessly align with your lifestyle and preferences.

Yes, we work on small and large projects, we also offer hourly consultation, and all other individual elements listed within our design packages.

We begin with a complimentary 15-minute informal chat over the phone or zoom to discuss your initial ideas.

Following this, we recommend to all our clients that they start with our Inspirational Visit for £395. This visit allows us to view your space firsthand and truly understand your vision and requirements. During this visit, we’ll discuss your ideas, lifestyle needs, budget considerations, and timeline expectations. You’ll receive a comprehensive Client Brief detailing colours and ideas on furniture and textures. Following our meeting, we’ll provide you with a detailed design fee proposal, giving you a clear understanding of the investment required for your project. For some clients, this is all they need.

What’s more, should you decide to proceed with our full design service, the cost of your Inspirational Visit will be deducted from your design fee.

As a Bespoke interior design studio, we intentionally limit our project portfolio to ensure each client receives our dedicated, personalised attention. Your project will always receive the focus it deserves. We pride ourselves on our professional excellence, backed by full interior design qualifications and membership of the British Institute of Interior Design. Our strict adherence to the professional Code of Conduct ensures you’re in safe hands.

While engaging a professional designer is an investment, our expertise helps you avoid costly mistakes, make informed decisions, and access trade discounts, ultimately achieving your vision within budget. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach – each project in our portfolio represents a unique response to our client’s individual needs and preferences. Your design will be exclusively tailored to your lifestyle, preferences, and requirements.

PROCESS

A quick discovery call to see if we are the right fit for each other and to find out a little bit more about how we can help you.  Most clients follow up with an inspirational visit, measurements and a walk-through of your home which normally takes 2 x hours.

It completely depends on the type of project. A full house renovation design and implementation could take up to 12 months, however, a single room refresh can be completed to suit the time frame of the client – I’ve completed one in three days because of tight deadlines!

SERVICES

Yes. I’m happy to offer an advisory service and leave the client with a ‘to do’ list. Most of my clients choose for me to project manage at some level but I’m happy to provide advice to clients who may not require the full package and just need design direction.

Our Approach explains all the stages within the process of bringing your project to life.

This service is perfect if you just need help choosing colours, fabrics for window treatments and upholstery and even wallpaper for your room.

Full interior design service means comprehensive support throughout your entire project journey. From initial space planning and material selections through to furniture specifications and installation oversight, we manage every detail. We coordinate with contractors, handle budget management, and oversee all aspects of the project implementation. This thorough approach saves you valuable time that would otherwise be spent researching and sourcing materials, coordinating multiple suppliers, and managing various contractors. Most importantly, it ensures every decision is made with professional expertise, considering both aesthetics and functionality. We focus on making choices that suit the scale of your home and your lifestyle, creating spaces that are both beautiful and practical.

Our approach centres on creating bespoke designs that perfectly reflect your lifestyle and requirements. Whether your project is large or small, you’ll receive the same meticulous attention to detail and access to exclusive trade resources. We pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with our clients, offering continued support and aftercare services long after project completion. Our commitment to excellence means you’ll receive not just a design service, but a trusted partnership throughout your interior design journey.
