The colour of the year 2018
Living Coral: Pantone 16-1546
At the end of each year, paint enthusiasts are anxious to know what colour Pantone will choose to represent the next 12 months. For 2018, the dramatic Ultra Violet was the winner, for its ingenuity, originality and thoughtful purple shade (PANTONE 18-3838). This year, however, they’ve stepped away from dark shades, with an energetic coral with golden undertones.
The shade ‘Living Coral’ (PANTONE 16-1546) is inspired by one of the most beautiful marine species on earth – coral reefs. The shade symbolises optimism and is meant to create joy, so why wouldn’t you want to paint your walls and furniture with it?
Autentico’s edition of Pantone’s colour of the year is ‘Tea Rose’ and can be purchased in all paint finishes. Being a colour that brings www.healthandrecoveryinstitute.com/adderall-adhd/ happiness, it might just be the missing touch in your living room, bedroom or office. Bringing bursts of bright colour into your life!
The Executive Director of the Pantone Colour Institute, Leatrice Eiseman, tells us that ‘Living Coral’ was chosen to represent the modern life, mixing both natural surroundings with social media.
She says that “colour is an equalising lens through which we experience our natural and digital realities, which is particularly true for Living Coral. With consumers craving human interaction and social connection, the humanising and heartening qualities displayed by Pantone Living Coral hits a responsive chord”.
