So, you want a great new sofa!

Here are some things to keep in mind:

1.      Think about how much time you’ll be spending on it.

2.      Consider the size of the room and any other furniture you have in it.

3.      How much do you want to spend?

4.      What kind of look are you going for? Traditional? Contemporary? Modern?

We’ve all been there: you’re in the middle of a shopping trip, you’ve got a few errands to run, and you need to squeeze in a quick furniture purchase. You know it’s time for an update, but you don’t know where to start.

Here are some tips for picking the perfect sofa:

  • The size of your room should determine how big your sofa is. If your room is smaller than average (think studio apartments), then get a smaller sofa. If it’s bigger than average (like most two-bedroom homes), then get a larger sofa.
  • You should always sit on the couch before buying it, because who knows what kind of comfort will be under all those covers? If it feels like a rock when you sit on it, then move on to something softer!
  • If you’re looking for something more durable, look for leather or vinyl upholstery—the fabric will last longer than any other material.

When choosing a sofa, it’s important to think about what kind of room you’ll be putting it in, as well as how much space you have.

If you have a smaller room, a loveseat will work better than a full-sized sofa. If you’re going for a more traditional look, you might want to consider a wingback or tufted sofa. If you want something more modern, consider an L-shaped sofa or one with angular lines—either way, these pieces are great for small spaces because they take up less floor space than an armless sofa would.

If your space is larger and more open, consider getting two sofas instead of just one—this will give your guests more places to sit!

When choosing a sofa, there are a lot of things to consider. You want to make sure that it fits the space, that it’s comfortable, and that it looks good. But how do you know what will look good?

Here are some tricks of the trade:

  • Start with the basics. Make sure the sofa matches your colour scheme and has clean lines.
  • Look for details like nail head trim or tufting that will add interest and texture in your room.
  • Don’t be afraid to mix patterns! Stripes can be fun, as can floral prints! Just make sure they’re not too busy!
