For the love of animals!
Darren & Sam, Leigh-on-Sea
Whole Townhouse
Inspirational Visit – followed by full design and project management
Darren and Sam had recently married and wanted a home that reflected them both. Sam’s love of animals especially zebras and the cat family, stood out on our first consultation, they were looking to make this townhouse their main home and keep their other home as a weekend place to be close to Sam’s family.
The house was empty and had all white walls throughout, Sam loves colour and gave me free rein to capture her personality in the design. The budget was large but not unlimited so the kitchen and bathrooms had to stay as they were for now.
From the time you open the door, you feel that wow factor with wooden panelling in graphite and a bold Lynx wallpaper above. This continued up the stairs with a carpet runner leading you to all the floors.
For the open-plan area, I started by zoning the adding new lighting and a dining area, to give that wow we added a bold wallpaper to draw the eye across the room to the dining area.
The snug was transformed with some bespoke shelving, traditional coving and some unique wallpapers against teal walls and gold accents to create a warm cosy escape. This room was fun to create and oozes Sam’s personality with the art and accessories.
Every room throughout has been thought through to complement Sam & and Darren’s tastes from the cloakroom to the bedrooms which you will see all have a very different look.
